Encouraging the right staff to join your organisation is quite a challenge. Retaining them is even more of a problem. Increasingly, key staff states support and development as crucial factors in their decision to start, and whether to stay. It is often seen as more important than bare financial reward. Managers who have learnt how to give cost-effective support and development will attract and retain the best people.
At the end of the course participants will be able to:
- set up a range of development methods
- have practiced using several of the methods
- construct individual development plans for their team
- evaluate the effects of various forms of development on their team members
